ACTIVITY INTEGERS
Objective:
Adding integers on the number line
Materials Required :
Some sheets of paper, pen sketch pen, pencil, etc.,
Procedure :
To add two positive integers (say +5 and +8)
Using sketch pen, draw a number line as shown below:

Start from 0 and move 5 steps towards right to reach at 5.
3. From 5, move 8 steps towards right to reach at 13. Thus, (+ 5) + (+ 8) = + 13 or 13.

II. To add a positive integer and a negative integer (say + 4 and-7)
Draw a number line as shown below:
2. Start from 0 and move 4 steps towards right to reach at 4.
3. From 4, move 7 steps towards left to reach at -3. Thus, 4 + (-7) =-3.

III. To add two negative integers (say -3 & -5)
To Draw add two a number negative line integers as shown (say below-3: and-5)
2. Start from 0 and move 3 steps towards left to reach at -3.
3. From-3, move 5 steps towards left to reach at-8. Thus, (-3) + (-5) = -8.
