Magic squares complete view odd and even square matriX

 Magic squares

Magic squares are among the Mathematical amusements.

The sum of the first k natural numbers is

k(k+1)2
.
  • In a magic square of size n x n , the sum of each row, column, and diagonal is the same.
  • Substitute k=n² into the formula:
  • A magic square is a square array of integers from 1 to n² is said to be of order n.

The sum of the integers from  1 to n²  is

So in a magic square the numbers in each row column and diagonal have the magic sum

This is to be a magic square. Each row, column, and diagonal is to add to the same number.
How can this magic square be completed?

     Solution:

The Hidden Picture: A Coordinate Graphing Activity

The Hidden Picture: A Coordinate Graphing Activity

Art Comes Alive on the Coordinate Plane

In this engaging and hands-on math activity, students explored the beauty hidden within numbers by plotting a series of coordinates across all four quadrants of the Cartesian plane. With careful attention to each point and the connections between them, a stunning image emerged — revealing how mathematics can create more than just answers; it can create art. This activity not only reinforced their understanding of coordinate geometry and graph interpretation, but also sparked creativity and excitement in learning. It's a perfect example of how math and imagination can come together to form something truly memorable.

    Objective:

To apply coordinate geometry concepts by plotting points in all four quadrants and visually interpreting geometric relationships through line segments.

    Learning Outcome:

    • Students will understand how plotting ordered pairs (x, y) on a Cartesian plane creates visual structures.

    • They will gain skills in scaling, graph interpretation, and shape recognition.

    • Students enhance spatial reasoning by visualizing patterns and designs formed through sequential plotting.

Plot the following points on a graph sheet. Connect them one by one. The moment you finish, you must have a beautiful picture.
