π What is a Fraction?
A fraction represents a part of a whole.
π Fraction = Part / Whole
Example: If a pizza is divided into 4 equal parts and you eat 1 part, you ate 1/4 of the pizza.
π§ Key Terms
- Numerator → Top number (parts taken)
- Denominator → Bottom number (total parts)
π 3/5 → 3 is numerator, 5 is denominator
✏ Example
A chocolate bar is divided into 8 pieces. You eat 3 pieces.
Fraction eaten = 3/8
