1)  Making  a belt  - Take a thick paper sheet of length 14 cm and width 9 cm we can take a old post card. Find the areas Find the  perimeter. Now cut strips join the strips end to end to make a belt of equal sizes and   find the length of each belt  and find out whose belt is longest

Learning objective   The aim of the belt activity is to understand that the things with the same area can take different forms and also have very different perimeter

Pre-requisite  knowledge of to area and perimeter

 Materials required post card and scissor

Criteria for evaluation

1. able to find the area

2.able to find the perimeter

3.able to cut the strips properly

4.able to join the strips properly

5.find the length of the belt
